Dates!

Ok.... We are 97% sure that we will be having the runion on the weekend of fair. I THINK that is around the 16th of August. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong)Gabe has recieved a lot of feedback and that has been the date that the most people would like to have it. We are still working on whether it will be a one day or two day event. I will update as soon as I know. Thanks to everyone who has been helping me get contact information.

Brook-
The fair runs the August 11-16, so you are right on. The 16th is Saturday.

are we going to do it the end of fair week or the beginning of fair week? if we do it at the end we may run into conflicts with people wanting to go to the sat. rodeo for the queens coronation. just a thought. i think the first of the week would be good, but i think i'm flexible either way. thanks for the update though. i'm still passing along all of the info. that i have cuz i keep running into people who have heard nothing. I ran into sean holland in the sam's club in layton, ut over the weekend when i was there with my mom in law and he had no clue about the reunion. you should, hopefully, be getting stuff from him soon. just fyi

Good point Brook. I know the fair is still pretty big deal for some families and Sat night is the big "night" of the fair.
So it could cause some conflict. Unless it was an afternoon thing...and only one day!

We are working out the details. More than likely it will be a afternoon thing on Saturday so people can still attend the Rodeo. I am not positive though.

I love the idea of having it fair week. My vote is something for just adults on Friday night and then a BBQ or something on Saturday day with kids. That's how Dan's was and it was great...just a thought. That way Saturday evening would be open.

I love the idea Ash...it would be nice to just gather with the adults for one night...(I don't get much adult "fun" times and will grab it when I can!!!)
and then have a day to meet everyone's families!
Should be a blast either way!

oh yeah yeah yeah! I like your idea too Ashley. That would be nice to just visit with everyone without having to chase a chitlin around. Fri evening and a Sat. afternoon thing would be wonderful. Brook let me know if you need Karla Bowcut's info for the Legacy Event Center.

I like the idea as well of the night and afternoon. It's seems like that is the way a lot of the BHS reunions are and they work out great. Whatever works out with the planning. Kristin--I am also a fan of adult "fun" times. It seems like once you have kids, that is the first thing to go:)

There have been some great ideas from those of you who have posted on this site. Please continue to post ideas or contact myself at the preceding information.

As for dates, it is safe to begin planning for August 15 and 16. Friday and Saturday of fair week. Exactly what day and time of the event(s) is dependant upon the venue location and availability. I am aware of the rodeo and I will do my best to plan accordingly.

Thanks to those who have offered there help. Plese feel free any of you to contact me with any further thoughts, ideas or suggestions. See you all soon!
